Ok, so I left off with the Zillah Parade. Since then I have been kind of busy. The weekend after Zillah I had the Wiley City Rodeo it was great weather and a very fun weekend. On the 11th of June I had the White Swan Treaty Days rodeo where I also ran barrels, then bright and early with a few delays we were off to the 100th Annual Bickleton Rodeo the weather was great and was actually a bit hot which was great compared to all the rain we have been having, I got to help push cows and thank you Katelynn for the great gift bag. that same day we drove back home to make it for the finals on Sunday at the Treaty Days rodeo all in all this was a busy but great weekend.
This past weekend we had the Glenwood rodeo and again with the weather being the way that it has been I was a bit scared and dug out my trusty hat cover just in case. But we lucked out and the weather was great. Since they did not have a queen this year they had asked my sister to set the pattern for the three girls trying out to become the 2011 Glenwood rodeo queen, they all did great and I had a great time watching the horsemanship. I brought along my Palomino mare who is green broke but I thought I would try her for my arena run and parade on Sunday....well she thought different she was great for a long time but I decided to run around the arena that night just for practice with my sister and she decided that that would be a great time to try and buck me off, I stayed on and we continued riding around but decided not to use her in the rodeo but to use her for the parade. She did GREAT, better than I thought she would ever do.
I do not have any pictures from bickleton and only a couple from glenwood and wiley city but I will post them as soon as I can.

Update #2
So this weekend I was supposed to go to the Granger parade and then the Arlington rodeo but the barrel club we are part of had a change of schedule so we were not able to attend the Granger parade but instead we were able to make it to Arlington Oregon for their rodeo and parade. I recently sold my great queen horse Bert who has been my sidekick through all my years of queening, So this was my first Parade and Rodeo on my little mare that I had choosen to use, she has been to rodeos and has been roped off of, but has never been a "queen horse" so I was thinking we might have a little bit of a wreck on our hands once I put all the flowers, serape and all the other things that go along with the parade outfit.
I should have known, this little mare never gives me any trouble with anything new, and this time was no different, she took it all in and handled it like a pro she did so greaand I couldn't be more proud of her, and then she did it, when I was taking her bell boots off she touched the top of my WHITE hat with her Dirty nose.....I was just a little mad and not so proud of her then.
Next was time for the rodeo run out and there it was, a huge black tarp sized thing made out of garbage bag material tied down one corner of the arena, well with the wind blowing at what seemed to be 40mph it was no longer attached to the fence, once again she handled it like a pro and didn't even give it a second look. I just have to say I love my little mare, Bert will never be replaced as a great queen horse because he has been through so much with me, but the dun mare can definatly hold her own...all 14.1 hands of it.
This weekend I have the Zillah Parade but since I didn't get any pictures from Arlington I can not wait until the Wiley City Rodeo on the 15th so I can get some pictures of my arena run chaps to post because I absolutley LOVE them.
....Until next time.

Update #1
Well, spring is here and rodeo season is just around the corner. I still have a few minor touches until I'm completely "Queenified" my chaps are just about done, my flowers are looking great, shirts are being made and sponsor letters are ready to be sent out, yes lots and lots of sponsor letters, queening is an expensive habit but hey someone has to do it and I just happen to love it.
My horses are starting to look great I've just about got all of the icky winter hair off and they will be slick and shiny in no time, I actually sold my queen horse that I have been using for the past five years so this year I have two newcomers to the queening world. "The Dun filly" her papered name is Taxs serena san but that is to long to say all of the time and I just haven't thought of an everyday name for her since I bought her three years ago...maybe I'll call her shorty, she is only 14.2 so she is pretty tiny. Jack will be my other horse to give it a try and he is far from tiny, he is about 16.1 so I will be hauling pretty much a pony and a giant with me this year. So we will see how they take to the whole queening thing....wish me luck :)
As for now that is all the time I have...horses to ride and sponsor letters to print, I just wanted to stop by for a quick update because I haven't had any yet.
